BBC Panorama reported that one of the largest rescue centres in the UK had to kill 2,815 healthy dogs in just one year. This was because they were unsuitable for re-homing due to their behaviour.
The key questions are are they safe to re-home and are they a risk to other people or other animals?
So trying to give your problem dog or cat to someone else, can be setting the death penalty.
It is just as bad with horses, if not worse as horses have value. Someone will always attempt to sort it out to make money. These horses can go from one dealers yard to another, accumulating more issues until either they hurt themselves or others. This is one of the biggest areas of abuse for horses.
